Medicine Reminder
How Browser Medicine Reminders Work
This site runs a JavaScript timer in the open page. Browser notifications are an optional extra cue and do not run the timer after the page is closed.
Allowing notifications
Start a reminder to request permission when the browser offers it. You can allow or deny the request. If you denied it earlier, review the site’s notification permission in your browser settings. The site is served over HTTPS in its production canonical configuration; browsers generally require a secure context for notifications.
Tab open versus browser closed
The countdown is updated by JavaScript while this page is running. A background tab may be throttled, and closing the tab or browser ends the timer. The notification API is called when the page timer reaches its alert; permission alone does not schedule a guaranteed system alarm.
Troubleshooting
Check notification permission for this site, operating-system notification settings, device volume, and whether the page is still open. Audio may require an earlier user interaction. Battery-saving modes or browser policies can suspend background activity. Vibration is available only on some devices.
Set an alert
The tool supports a single countdown or selected future date and time.
